At Viola Law Firm P.C., we strive for legal excellence in every client interaction and case we build. We are proud to announce that once again, several of our family law attorneys have been selected as Northern California Super Lawyers and Rising Stars.
Only a small percentage of attorneys in each state are recognized, and we are honored that five of our lawyers have been acknowledged repeatedly. This recognition is not something we take lightly, and we work hard to maintain our reputation for integrity, professionalism, and unwavering dedication.
Our Northern California Super Lawyers and Rising Stars of 2026
Our firm consists of talented and accomplished lawyers, and for 2026, five have been recognized on the Northern California Super Lawyers and Rising Stars list. Less than 5% of all attorneys in California are designated as Super Lawyers, and an even smaller portion, at 2.5%, are recognized as Rising Stars. For 2026:
- Kayleigh Walsh was recognized as a Rising Star. She has been included on the Rising Stars list every year since 2018 and has exclusively practiced family law with Viola Law Firm P.C. for more than 10 years.
- Lauren Cirlin was selected as a Super Lawyer this year. She has been recognized each year since 2019 and has been an associate attorney with our firm for almost two decades.
- Lawrence Viola was recognized as a Super Lawyer and has received this designation every year since 2009. His distinguished legal career has spanned more than 35 years across complex family law and general litigation.
- Robert Bruening was included in the Super Lawyers list for the 12th time, having been recognized each year since 2015. He has been practicing law for more than 20 years.
- Farimah Erlandson was selected to the Super Lawyers list for the third year in a row. She has exclusively practiced family law since graduating from law school in 2002.
We take pride in each of these lawyers’ accomplishments and commend their dedication to the legal profession.
The Super Lawyers and Rising Stars Selection Process
Super Lawyers is a rating service that seeks to create a list of outstanding attorneys. Lawyers formally nominate peers to be considered for this list.
Super Lawyers conducts independent research to evaluate and rate each lawyer based on a range of criteria, such as:
- Verdicts/settlements
- Representative clients
- Honors/awards
- Education/employment background
- Pro bono and community service
Attorneys with the top 5% of scores are recognized on the final list. Meanwhile, Rising Stars are designated through the same selection process, but only candidates who are either 40 years or younger or who have practiced for 10 years or less are eligible.
