Lauren D. Cirlin

Lauren D. Cirlin joined Viola Law Firm as an associate attorney in 2008 and became a partner in 2015. She has exclusively practiced family law throughout her legal career. Lauren has worked on highly contested cases, including those involving high-conflict custody cases, high-net-worth complex marital property issues, and related business litigation.

Lauren believes in treating clients with the respect they deserve. Building solid relationships on every case has garnered her much success. She has helped clients resolve their child custody disputes in the courtroom through private judging, mediation, and settlement. Past clients have also sought Lauren’s counsel on child and spousal support issues, domestic violence prevention, and the establishment of paternity and grandparent visitation. Lauren also drafts premarital and postnuptial agreements and serves as a consulting attorney for parties involved in mediation.

Lauren received a Bachelor of Arts in diversified liberal arts and psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2002. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor in 2006 from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where she played a key role in forming the school’s Family Law Association. Under Lauren’s leadership as co-president, the organization grew into a successful establishment, informing participants about the latest family law trends in the legal community.

Since 2015, Lauren has been a Certified Family Law Specialist, certified by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization.

Lauren has been recognized by her peers continually, being selected to the Super Lawyers List for Northern California for 8 consecutive years. Prior to that she was selected to Super Lawyers Rising Stars List for Northern California for 5 consecutive years.
